Camp Life
For the last week I have been at camp with FRC students and other leaders as well as 100s of other Students from all over the US. It was an amazing experience to see so many teen age students worshiping our living Lord. I pray that what they felt at camp they take with them for life and not leave it at the dorms. So many were touched by our Lord and you can see it in their eyes as they paid attention to what God had to say through the speaker they had every day.
Sawgrass representing at REC time, i was happy to be able to spend extra time with some of our sawgrass students like, Katie, Cecilia and Simone as well as Craig one of sawgrass student leaders. Katie, Simone, and Cecilia were in my family group and it was awesome to be able to have bible study with them during the week as well as having them pray out loud during our prayer time each evening. I was very impressed with their participation during bible study and rec time.
Future Sawgrass leader the young man in the black shirt and sunglasses is Justin he was in our family group and by the end of our time together he cam up and asked me if he could volunteer at sawgrass. This young man has a heart for God and knows how big and power ful Jesus is. Justin I cant wait to have you on board!!!
Am I tired? Yes. Did I lose my voice from screaming? Yes. But This was truly a great experience for all the students and leaders alike. After all the smiles, cries, laughter, hugs, cheers and lack of rest I can truly say I would do all this again in a heartbeat. God bless each and every single student who was at this camp and may he help them on his narrow path. In Jesus Name Amen.

My Father
This past weekend was father’s day and I was blessed to spend it with my family at our small farm in north Florida. All 3 living Acosta men were together on father’s day, my grandfather, dad, and myself. My father and I spent much of the weekend doing work around the farm it was tiring but fun to spend time with my dad; these days it’s hard to have quality time with my dad like when we used to do a lot of fishing so ill take quality time even if it’s working in the hot summer sun. Over the last 24yrs of my life my dad has had one goal in mind and that was to be a better father to me and my sister than his dad was to him. Seeing how his father is now and past stories I can proudly say that my dad is a superior father today compared to his father and any other in the world. My dad with all his faults (like anyone else) has given me and our family a great example of what a Christian man should be, he has always done his best to provide for all our needs and has given his heart to our lord and savior. My father has lived more than half his life here in the United States where he has worked hard, learn the language, and today has a good job with the government. He has shown me, what one can truly do if they just put effort and fight to move forward always keeping God first. We have had our ups and downs just like any other father/son team but I can proudly introduce my dad to anyone as my father he has truly been an example. My dad had a goal and it was to become a better father than his dad, he surpassed that goal. I have a goal as well and it is to be a better father one day than my dad was to me, I can only imagine how hard this will be.But I can’t wait to surpass him because I can only imagine how great a father I will be.

I have never been so busy,,, yet so Rested
The last few months have been a total blur for me. So many things have happened in all parts of my life that its hard to keep track of. One thing is for sure between church, school and work time has been extremely limited. For a period of time i was extremely stressed because i did not have time to rest and just take in the scenery. I was trying to teach at church, do all my school work, spend time with family and friends, lead a small group, deal with daily problems and learn the guitar. There were days my head didn't hit the pillow until 1am because I would end up at the gym to work out at 11pm. Well one day I just stopped and got organized dropped the guitar and limited other activities. Today I find my self really busy yet so rested, i have weekly and monthly church meetings as well as all my school work and all other activities previously stated not to mention being the new student pastor at FRC Sawgrass so i am busier then when i started. Yet I still have time for everything and I don't feel tired till Sunday afternoon after church. It seems my prayers asking God to keep me energized enough to fulfill my week and be able to serve him to my full capacity have worked. One thing is for sure when you give your self to God in all parts of life and work on his will for your life you will always be taken care of. Today i am the busiest i have ever been in my life, yet rested like never before.
Thank you Lord,
Thank you Lord,

Jesus is there just REACH...
I love this video each and every time i watch it i cant help but cry. You can see the strugle everyone goes through at points were this world pulls them away from God but he stays with you all you have to do is reach for him. It shows how there are only two paths and if you dont focus on Jesus then the lies of the devil can trick you. When it seems all the problems all the situations have you plastered on the ground he WILL step in and take them ALL off of you and send them back to hell. All you have to do is allow him to ....
I hope this video is a blessing to your life, i know it has been to mine.

First Post
So what do i say. I am not to sure what to talk about so i will go over all the church stuff from this weekend.
Friday i had to cancel my small group so i could attend the Ovations for the children and student ministry volunteers. I had a great time with my friends we had a blast we laughed, got to know one another better, we talked about our ministry goals. It was a great time !
Then we have Sunday at Sawgrass.
We had a two great student services Sunday morning. It was funny because everything that could have gone wrong during the beginning of the first service did. First we had a few students late then we could not find the stuff we brought for the game so Craig and I were running around the theater looking for the papers while the students settled in. After everything was done we were under way and the kids had a blast with the game, the worship band lead by John was doing great and Scott nailed his lesson for the day which was very emotional as he shared a very private story with us all about his motor cycle accident. Second service we had couple of problems but again they were fixed and to the Glory of GOD we had an awesome second service. Pastor Abel wanted to take the seniors that were graduating out to lunch and that was a great time I got to know a couple of seniors i didn't really know and saw two possible future student leaders.
I had the honor of speaking with one of my students parents and letting them know that her son and daughter would be in great hands at sawgrass and that i hoped she would let them come out more frequently, she sadly is not really attending any church at the moment so i ask that we pray for her.
Then at 4pm i drove those two students and my sister to the beach baptism/concert were we had a great time with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We had fun tossed the baseball for a while, talked got to see my friend Scott get baptized.I also saw an old friend from 9th grade. I was so happy to bump into him and much happier when i found out he had been going to FRC for 3 years now.We caught up on our past and present and we prayed together right before i left the concert. Said bye to him and some friends and called it a night.
And all this with just 2-3hrs of sleep the night before. Who needs red bull when you can just ask God to help you get through a day like this so you can work for him and give it all to the students.
God bless,
Jesse
